About Catherine Boyle

By day, I serve as a professional school counselor at a local Catholic high school — and in private practice, I work with older children (ages 10+), teens, and young adults as they navigate the unique challenges of growing up in today’s world. I support clients facing anxiety, depression, OCD, ADD/ADHD, and the ripple effects of addiction on families. I also help young people develop confidence and coping skills as they work through academic pressures, identity formation, social dynamics, and the many transitions that shape adolescence and early adulthood.

As a Catholic therapist, my mission is to support you or your child on the journey toward emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. I integrate sound psychological principles with the wisdom and beauty of the Catholic faith to offer a compassionate, faith-informed approach to healing and growth.

My work with teens is collaborative and relational — rooted in trust, curiosity, and respect for their individuality. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings, build self-awareness, and learn tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, and make choices aligned with their values.

My therapeutic style is holistic and flexible, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and expressive arts. This integrative approach allows me to tailor each session to a client’s unique story — helping them strengthen resilience, deepen their sense of identity, and cultivate peace and purpose as they grow.

I live in Northern Virginia with my husband, our daughter, and our dog, Bentley. Outside the office, you’ll often find me working out, crafting, or embracing my love of all things Christmas.

I am available for therapy sessions in the after-school hours via telehealth, offering flexibility and support that fit into the busy rhythms of family life.
