How we experience life matters. We all encounter challenges, pain, and suffering at different points in our lives. It is deeply human to feel discouraged—but it’s also human to experience joy, hope, and excitement. In therapy, I cannot promise that all suffering will disappear, but I can help you relate to it in a new and more life-giving way.

I believe in holding space for both joy and struggle as we work toward a meaningful and integrated life. My approach is warm and gentle. I will affirm your experiences, celebrate your successes, and compassionately challenge you to step beyond your comfort zone. Together, we can navigate present-day challenges, develop practical coping skills, and make room to process past wounds.

I incorporate faith and spirituality into therapy when desired, and can help unravel the complexity that sometimes arises when mental health and faith intersect. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you access greater compassion, courage, and joy.

Clinically, I focus on improving psychological flexibility and resilience. I often draw from CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based strategies, and incorporate trauma-informed interventions and psychoeducation as needed. I hold advanced training in EMDR and Maternal Mental Health. I received my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Divine Mercy University in 2018 and my undergraduate degree in psychology from Doane University in Lincoln, NE. I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia and Maryland and offer both in-person and online therapy for adults (18+).

I specialize in maternal mental health, life transitions, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, social anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and integrating faith within the therapeutic process.

When I’m not working, I enjoy time with my family, watching movies, reading a good book, knitting, and catching up with friends over coffee or tea.
